LGTB Elders Social
Oct. 4th, 2010 04:01 pmNSRAP invites all LGBT people aged fifty plus to an Elders Potluck Social & Presentation on Sunday October 17 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Spencer House Senior Centre, 5596 Morris Street, Halifax.
Have you been putting off making a will? If you have a will, is it up to date to reflect your current partnership status? Have you a Living Will ensuring that the person you designate will make essential decisions if you became incapacitated? Is domestic partnership the same as marriage when it comes to inheritance? Questions LGBT seniors have about wills and inheritance will be addressed by lawyer Tuma Young.
The Social to follow will feature an LGBT potluck provided by the attendees. Please bring finger food - sandwiches, sweets, snacks, etc. Coffee and tea will be provided by NSRAP. This is an alcohol-free event. ASL translation will be provided for members of the Rainbow Deaf Community. For more information contact NSRAP at 444-3206 or email nsrap@nsrap.ca
